Narrative:

Left emergency exit/door ind inoperative. MEL required inspection accomplished when placarded and on 1ST flight of day. This 2ND flight assumed, since door not used, inspection not required each flight. Later check with afw inconclusive. Maintenance MEL doesn't specify frequency. Would be helpful if required frequency of inspection was part of note about MEL items on release.
