Narrative:
Air carrier X was climbing out of clt I didn't have a ticket so I took the interim altitude out to see the requested altitude which was FL370 and that would not work. So I put in an interim altitude in the data block and before I changed it to FL350 the low sector had already climbed and switched. I missed the readback of air carrier X climbing to FL370 and he lost separation with air carrier Y.

Title: ACR X CLB TO OCCUPIED ALT HAD LTSS FROM ACR Y. SYS ERROR.
Narrative: ACR X WAS CLBING OUT OF CLT I DIDN'T HAVE A TICKET SO I TOOK THE INTERIM ALT OUT TO SEE THE REQUESTED ALT WHICH WAS FL370 AND THAT WOULD NOT WORK. SO I PUT IN AN INTERIM ALT IN THE DATA BLOCK AND BEFORE I CHANGED IT TO FL350 THE LOW SECTOR HAD ALREADY CLBED AND SWITCHED. I MISSED THE READBACK OF ACR X CLBING TO FL370 AND HE LOST SEPARATION WITH ACR Y.
