Narrative:

Instrument training -- instructor in right seat. Flying under hood for NDB approach into myf runway 28R with clearance to land. I was unable to properly track inbound on NDB approach and drifted south. When I released the hood at the MDA, I was lined up with runway 28L and had to go missed approach. My instructor had not given me any warning of my drift to the south as he wanted me to see the final results of the intended approach. Better attention to the ADF will be required for proficiency. Tower then cleared for pattern entry.
