Narrative:

From mar/wed/95 to mar/tue/95, I was dispatched in an aircraft that was overdue a required inspection. The flts occurred in conjunction with flight instruction I gave as a staff instructor at the FBO, where I began instructing on feb/tue/95. The training manual for the program I was hired into states that aircraft maintenance is scheduled by FBO. I was under the misimpression that inspection schedules were complied with before aircraft were assigned to crews. In the future, I will inspect all maintenance records before accepting an aircraft for flight.
