Narrative:
During departure both FMC CDU's failed. I was hand flying aircraft and navigating to the brows intersection on the border 4 departure. At brows, I made a turn towards the jli VOR when our clearance had us proceeding to ipl VOR. The mistake was immediately recognized and a turn initiated towards ipl before rolling out on a heading to jli. The center cltr asked if we were going to ipl which we responded affirmative. Supplemental information from acn 298569: mistake was noted prior to rolling out on heading to jli.

Title: NAV DEV DURING SID WITH FMC FAILURE.
Narrative: DURING DEP BOTH FMC CDU'S FAILED. I WAS HAND FLYING ACFT AND NAVIGATING TO THE BROWS INTXN ON THE BORDER 4 DEP. AT BROWS, I MADE A TURN TOWARDS THE JLI VOR WHEN OUR CLRNC HAD US PROCEEDING TO IPL VOR. THE MISTAKE WAS IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED AND A TURN INITIATED TOWARDS IPL BEFORE ROLLING OUT ON A HDG TO JLI. THE CTR CLTR ASKED IF WE WERE GOING TO IPL WHICH WE RESPONDED AFFIRMATIVE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 298569: MISTAKE WAS NOTED PRIOR TO ROLLING OUT ON HDG TO JLI.
