IFR, vrb to eyw on feb/xx/95 at XA00 return to vrb XF00, same day, VFR. No flight plan filed, but in contact with key west departure, ZMA and mia approach -- up the keys, and fla coastline. (In radar contact and given TA several times, and no interception.) was unaware that ADIZ crossing required a flight plan filing within the state of fl, until return home to ohio, and found jan/xx/95 'callback' in held mail.

Title: A PVT OPERATOR WAS NOT AWARE OF FLT PLAN REQUIREMENTS FOR A FLT FROM EYN TO VRB, AND CONSEQUENTLY, FAILED TO NOTIFY ATC REGARDING AN ADIZ XING.

Narrative: IFR, VRB TO EYW ON FEB/XX/95 AT XA00 RETURN TO VRB XF00, SAME DAY, VFR. NO FLT PLAN FILED, BUT IN CONTACT WITH KEY WEST DEP, ZMA AND MIA APCH -- UP THE KEYS, AND FLA COASTLINE. (IN RADAR CONTACT AND GIVEN TA SEVERAL TIMES, AND NO INTERCEPTION.) WAS UNAWARE THAT ADIZ XING REQUIRED A FLT PLAN FILING WITHIN THE STATE OF FL, UNTIL RETURN HOME TO OHIO, AND FOUND JAN/XX/95 'CALLBACK' IN HELD MAIL.
