Narrative:
I deferred, at a non airline maintenance station, the #2 engine oil quantity on a 737-222 aircraft per the MEL. However, the MEL allows deferral for 3 days, by using category 'B' for deferral. I, inadvertently, listed the item as category 'C' which caused the oil quantity system not to be fixed for 5 days. (2 days past limit) at time of deferral I was extremely busy.
