Narrative:
I rented an aircraft for a skyline flight around chicago. The plane was dispatched to me with 1 hour left before its 100 hour oil change. I was unaware of this and flew the aircraft. The flight was uneventful. It was brought to my attention 3 weeks later by the FBO that rented the plane to me. They apologized for giving me the plane and in the future I will check the logbooks before renting. Since the plane was only flown 1 hour past the oil change the incident can be described as minor and a lesson learned.
