Narrative:

Taxiing in to parking spot at dead slow speed. First officer watching right wing like a hawk. Ramper on right side (whom I could not see) raised his wands rapidly to arms crossed (stop) position. First officer immediately applied brakes. Because we were literally creeping the stop wasn't hard enough to brake skulls but it was still hard enough. I called lead flight attendant to make sure passenger were ok. He said they were alright. I then asked if anybody was up when the first officer nailed the brakes, and he then and only then told me that a kid had gotten up and I threw him when the brakes were nailed (kid was ok). My point is that if the flight attendant had called me immediately when the passenger had initially stood, then I would have, at that point, stopped the aircraft until the passenger was seated (and preventing the sudden stop in the process). I asked the flight attendant why he didn't call me when passenger stood up and he replied that he didn't know that he was supposed to! I was furious. Pilots can lose their licenses if someone stands. Very unprofessional behavior on his part.

Title: PAX STANDING DURING TAXI.

Narrative: TAXIING IN TO PARKING SPOT AT DEAD SLOW SPD. FO WATCHING R WING LIKE A HAWK. RAMPER ON R SIDE (WHOM I COULD NOT SEE) RAISED HIS WANDS RAPIDLY TO ARMS CROSSED (STOP) POS. FO IMMEDIATELY APPLIED BRAKES. BECAUSE WE WERE LITERALLY CREEPING THE STOP WASN'T HARD ENOUGH TO BRAKE SKULLS BUT IT WAS STILL HARD ENOUGH. I CALLED LEAD FLT ATTENDANT TO MAKE SURE PAX WERE OK. HE SAID THEY WERE ALRIGHT. I THEN ASKED IF ANYBODY WAS UP WHEN THE FO NAILED THE BRAKES, AND HE THEN AND ONLY THEN TOLD ME THAT A KID HAD GOTTEN UP AND I THREW HIM WHEN THE BRAKES WERE NAILED (KID WAS OK). MY POINT IS THAT IF THE FLT ATTENDANT HAD CALLED ME IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE PAX HAD INITIALLY STOOD, THEN I WOULD HAVE, AT THAT POINT, STOPPED THE ACFT UNTIL THE PAX WAS SEATED (AND PREVENTING THE SUDDEN STOP IN THE PROCESS). I ASKED THE FLT ATTENDANT WHY HE DIDN'T CALL ME WHEN PAX STOOD UP AND HE REPLIED THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO! I WAS FURIOUS. PLTS CAN LOSE THEIR LICENSES IF SOMEONE STANDS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR ON HIS PART.
