Narrative:

Departed pellston airport (pln) to fly 30 mi to onaway airport (Y96) picking up friends to go to detroit (dtw). At Y96 the beacon and runway lights were on and during what seemed to be a normal approach to runway 15, I felt a shudder -- almost like turbulence. All lights went out on the ground, so realized had hit power lines which had no warning lights or marking balls. The airplane was running fine so returned to pln and made a normal landing. The wire(south) left a mark just above the nosewheel and left nicks in the left propeller. They buried the wires the next day and am very, very thankful it wasn't me.
