Narrative:
While being hand-parked at seatac gate, aircraft's #1 engine impacted jetway. Mechanic had lined us up on a 727 line instead of the correct 737 line. Extent of damage to #1 engine blades and nacelle was extensive, probably made worse by the fact that #2 was shut down (in accordance with company procedures) and parking was being accomplished by only #1 engine at a high power setting. Jetway was slightly damaged and there were no injuries.

Narrative: WHILE BEING HAND-PARKED AT SEATAC GATE, ACFT'S #1 ENG IMPACTED JETWAY. MECH HAD LINED US UP ON A 727 LINE INSTEAD OF THE CORRECT 737 LINE. EXTENT OF DAMAGE TO #1 ENG BLADES AND NACELLE WAS EXTENSIVE, PROBABLY MADE WORSE BY THE FACT THAT #2 WAS SHUT DOWN (IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMPANY PROCS) AND PARKING WAS BEING ACCOMPLISHED BY ONLY #1 ENG AT A HIGH PWR SETTING.
