Narrative:

Our flight was cleared to taxi to runway 23. On the taxiway there was construction vehicles in the grass along side the taxiway. 1 vehicle was still partially on the taxiway. The man inside the truck jumped out and motioned us to stay further right of his vehicle. I moved further to the right with regard to the r-hand limit of the taxiway. My perspective from the cockpit, we had plenty of clearance. As we continued to taxi, the man called ground control complaining we had almost hit his truck. It seems commonplace now that there are more motor vehicles on the txwys and ramps than airplanes. Maybe someone should tell these people that it's an airport not an interstate highway. I also think when motor vehicles are going to be on active txwys the airport authority should close those to aircraft.

Title: VEHICLE ON TXWY, DRIVER UPSET BECAUSE ACFT TOO CLOSE.

Narrative: OUR FLT WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 23. ON THE TXWY THERE WAS CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES IN THE GRASS ALONG SIDE THE TXWY. 1 VEHICLE WAS STILL PARTIALLY ON THE TXWY. THE MAN INSIDE THE TRUCK JUMPED OUT AND MOTIONED US TO STAY FURTHER R OF HIS VEHICLE. I MOVED FURTHER TO THE R WITH REGARD TO THE R-HAND LIMIT OF THE TXWY. MY PERSPECTIVE FROM THE COCKPIT, WE HAD PLENTY OF CLRNC. AS WE CONTINUED TO TAXI, THE MAN CALLED GND CTL COMPLAINING WE HAD ALMOST HIT HIS TRUCK. IT SEEMS COMMONPLACE NOW THAT THERE ARE MORE MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE TXWYS AND RAMPS THAN AIRPLANES. MAYBE SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THESE PEOPLE THAT IT'S AN ARPT NOT AN INTERSTATE HWY. I ALSO THINK WHEN MOTOR VEHICLES ARE GOING TO BE ON ACTIVE TXWYS THE ARPT AUTHORITY SHOULD CLOSE THOSE TO ACFT.
