Narrative:
Air carrier medium large transport on descent to eugene, 3000 ft, heading 190 assigned. Aircraft advised they were responding to a TCASII RA. When asked to advise when returning to course. Air carrier advised they were returning at that time and asked about traffic at 3 O'clock and 3 mi. Only traffic ever observed in that direction was never closer than 6 mi.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT SENSED BY TCASII. FLC DEV FROM ATC CLRNC.
Narrative: ACR MLG ON DSCNT TO EUGENE, 3000 FT, HDG 190 ASSIGNED. ACFT ADVISED THEY WERE RESPONDING TO A TCASII RA. WHEN ASKED TO ADVISE WHEN RETURNING TO COURSE. ACR ADVISED THEY WERE RETURNING AT THAT TIME AND ASKED ABOUT TFC AT 3 O'CLOCK AND 3 MI. ONLY TFC EVER OBSERVED IN THAT DIRECTION WAS NEVER CLOSER THAN 6 MI.
