Narrative:

While taxiing out for takeoff on a runway we've never taken off from before, we were given taxi instructions for runway 22 lga. We thought he said cross runway 22 turn right and hold short of runway 13, contact tower. But he wanted us to cross runway 13, hold short of runway 22 and contact tower. A confusing side note is there was a maintenance vehicle on the taxiway they wanted us on and seeing the vehicle might have made my mind on what to hear and/or interpretation. No other aircraft on final or taxiing.

Narrative: WHILE TAXIING OUT FOR TKOF ON A RWY WE'VE NEVER TAKEN OFF FROM BEFORE, WE WERE GIVEN TAXI INSTRUCTIONS FOR RWY 22 LGA. WE THOUGHT HE SAID CROSS RWY 22 TURN R AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 13, CONTACT TWR. BUT HE WANTED US TO CROSS RWY 13, HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22 AND CONTACT TWR.
