Narrative:
Atx X was cleared from jvl to ptk airport, radar vector teddy, direct ptk. I queried the controller if this was teddy or petty intersection. I even read the intersection spelling phonetically. The controller further stated (irritably) that I need to go to petty. After my handoff to rockford approach, they queried me, 'where are you going?' when I told them petty intersection, they thought I was nuts. Immediately instructed me to go to teddy intersection. I did, and queried them on why a controller gave me the wrong intersection.

Narrative: ATX X WAS CLRED FROM JVL TO PTK ARPT, RADAR VECTOR TEDDY, DIRECT PTK. I QUERIED THE CTLR IF THIS WAS TEDDY OR PETTY INTXN. I EVEN READ THE INTXN SPELLING PHONETICALLY. THE CTLR FURTHER STATED (IRRITABLY) THAT I NEED TO GO TO PETTY. AFTER MY HDOF TO ROCKFORD APCH, THEY QUERIED ME, 'WHERE ARE YOU GOING?' WHEN I TOLD THEM PETTY INTXN, THEY THOUGHT I WAS NUTS.
