Narrative:

On approach to lax runway 24R at 2500 ft on radar vector to final heading 160 degrees (base leg) received RA on TCASII. Ordered to climb. Conflict resolved at 2800 ft. Was level at 3000 ft. Then descended to land at lax with no further incident. Traffic unknown. Maximum altitude deviation 500 ft. While conflict was being resolved turn to final was late causing our aircraft to slip south of final approach course for runway 24R. No conflict with traffic on runway 25R.
