Narrative:

While briefing for approach I heard the altitude alert go off at 10600 ft. I immediately climbed back to 11000 ft. No conflict was stated. Could have happened if I failed to arm or if the altitude didn't capture.

Title: ALTDEV ALT OVERSHOT -- ACR DSNDS THROUGH ITS ASSIGNED ALT WHILE THE FLC IS BRIEFING THE APCH PROC.

Narrative: WHILE BRIEFING FOR APCH I HEARD THE ALT ALERT GO OFF AT 10600 FT. I IMMEDIATELY CLBED BACK TO 11000 FT. NO CONFLICT WAS STATED. COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I FAILED TO ARM OR IF THE ALT DIDN'T CAPTURE.
