Narrative:

On final the captain called for gear down and when I selected gear down only the mains showed down and locked. I cycled the gear and still only the mains showed a down and locked indication. We flew by the tower and they confirmed the nose gear appeared to be down and locked. As soon as we landed and the nose wheel made contact the green light for the nose wheel came on and worked perfectly. I assumed the captain would fill out an irregularity report on the occurrence, but I never followed him up on the issue.
