Narrative:

During approach to ILS 20R bna we encountered a gear down and locked indicator light inoperative. We cycled the gear and had the same indication. After conducting a missed approach and going out on the 330 degree radial 20 DME we held at 10 mi legs. We complied with our emergency procedures and tried to manually lower the gear. The gear still didn't give us a positive down indication so we started conducting our next emergency procedure. 'Gear unsafe landing'. The procedure includes: declare an emergency, secure aircraft, brief passengers, land aircraft, and evaluate passengers. All the procedures were carried out and the aircraft was safely landed without incident. The aircraft was maneuvered to exit the active 20R onto a taxiway. The passenger were evacuate/evacuation and the event was concluded safely. The entire event could have been avoided if the aircraft had a procedure to test the gear lights, (which is does not), or if our certificate holder came out with an emergency procedure to replace the burned out bulbs (2). All parties involved in this event were very helpful; approach, tower, fire and rescue, and our company. We the crew handled the situation in a safe and professional manner and we thank the other involved parties for doing the same.

Title: COMMUTER LTT LANDED WITH UNSAFE GEAR INDICATION AND EVAC THE PAXS. THE GEAR WAS DOWN BUT THE LIGHT BULBS HAD BURNED OUT.

Narrative: DURING APCH TO ILS 20R BNA WE ENCOUNTERED A GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATOR LIGHT INOP. WE CYCLED THE GEAR AND HAD THE SAME INDICATION. AFTER CONDUCTING A MISSED APCH AND GOING OUT ON THE 330 DEG RADIAL 20 DME WE HELD AT 10 MI LEGS. WE COMPLIED WITH OUR EMER PROCS AND TRIED TO MANUALLY LOWER THE GEAR. THE GEAR STILL DIDN'T GIVE US A POSITIVE DOWN INDICATION SO WE STARTED CONDUCTING OUR NEXT EMER PROC. 'GEAR UNSAFE LNDG'. THE PROC INCLUDES: DECLARE AN EMER, SECURE ACFT, BRIEF PAXS, LAND ACFT, AND EVALUATE PAXS. ALL THE PROCS WERE CARRIED OUT AND THE ACFT WAS SAFELY LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE ACFT WAS MANEUVERED TO EXIT THE ACTIVE 20R ONTO A TAXIWAY. THE PAX WERE EVAC AND THE EVENT WAS CONCLUDED SAFELY. THE ENTIRE EVENT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE ACFT HAD A PROC TO TEST THE GEAR LIGHTS, (WHICH IS DOES NOT), OR IF OUR CERTIFICATE HOLDER CAME OUT WITH AN EMER PROC TO REPLACE THE BURNED OUT BULBS (2). ALL PARTIES INVOLVED IN THIS EVENT WERE VERY HELPFUL; APCH, TWR, FIRE AND RESCUE, AND OUR COMPANY. WE THE CREW HANDLED THE SITUATION IN A SAFE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND WE THANK THE OTHER INVOLVED PARTIES FOR DOING THE SAME.
