Narrative:
About 2 mi on final to runway 8, tower cleared a 727 to cross at taxiway C. When we were at about 500 ft AGL, the 727 on the runway we got a TCASII 'traffic, traffic' alert. I looked at the vsi display and it showed a red target ahead at minus 5. Display changed to a red arc ending at +2000 FPM climb, and TCASII warning 'climb, climb'. We pushed power to go around, rotated to climb attitude and raised flaps to 15 degrees and retracted gear. I suspect the 727 still had his transponder on but since I wasn't sure, and our company procedure is to follow all TCASII warnings, we followed the TCASII guidance, continued VFR with the tower and returned for a normal landing.

Title: FLC OF AN LGT ACFT MADE A GAR IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA PRODUCED BY ANOTHER ACFT TAXIING ACROSS THE APCHING RWY.
Narrative: ABOUT 2 MI ON FINAL TO RWY 8, TWR CLRED A 727 TO CROSS AT TXWY C. WHEN WE WERE AT ABOUT 500 FT AGL, THE 727 ON THE RWY WE GOT A TCASII 'TFC, TFC' ALERT. I LOOKED AT THE VSI DISPLAY AND IT SHOWED A RED TARGET AHEAD AT MINUS 5. DISPLAY CHANGED TO A RED ARC ENDING AT +2000 FPM CLB, AND TCASII WARNING 'CLB, CLB'. WE PUSHED PWR TO GAR, ROTATED TO CLB ATTITUDE AND RAISED FLAPS TO 15 DEGS AND RETRACTED GEAR. I SUSPECT THE 727 STILL HAD HIS XPONDER ON BUT SINCE I WASN'T SURE, AND OUR COMPANY PROC IS TO FOLLOW ALL TCASII WARNINGS, WE FOLLOWED THE TCASII GUIDANCE, CONTINUED VFR WITH THE TWR AND RETURNED FOR A NORMAL LNDG.
