Narrative:

As a flight attendant, during a layover on jan/xx/94, I was accused, falsely, by a crew scheduler, of drinking alcohol within the company prescribed 12 hour limit. This false accusation came about as a result of a telephone conversation between the crew scheduler and the first flight attendant of my crew, which took place after XA00 the morning of jan/xx/94. Apparently, the scheduler misunderstood the first flight attendant regarding my having a drink earlier on the layover - well within legalities for my original flight assignment. The first flight attendant attempted to clarify herself to the scheduler, however he would not accept any clarification and decided to make his own interpretation of the situation. The scheduler also tried to 'make a deal' with the first flight attendant in order to cover a flight - proposing that if our crew would fly illegally, he would drop the whole drinking issue regarding me. The first flight attendant explained that if we flew the earlier trip that the scheduler needed to cover, that we would be violating FARS, so she told him we could not make any deal. So, he maintained his false accusation against me regarding drinking within the 12 hour limit.

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT REGARDING FALSE ACCUSATION OF ALCOHOLIC INTAKE WITHIN TIME FRAME FOR FLT.

Narrative: AS A FLT ATTENDANT, DURING A LAYOVER ON JAN/XX/94, I WAS ACCUSED, FALSELY, BY A CREW SCHEDULER, OF DRINKING ALCOHOL WITHIN THE COMPANY PRESCRIBED 12 HR LIMIT. THIS FALSE ACCUSATION CAME ABOUT AS A RESULT OF A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION BTWN THE CREW SCHEDULER AND THE FIRST FLT ATTENDANT OF MY CREW, WHICH TOOK PLACE AFTER XA00 THE MORNING OF JAN/XX/94. APPARENTLY, THE SCHEDULER MISUNDERSTOOD THE FIRST FLT ATTENDANT REGARDING MY HAVING A DRINK EARLIER ON THE LAYOVER - WELL WITHIN LEGALITIES FOR MY ORIGINAL FLT ASSIGNMENT. THE FIRST FLT ATTENDANT ATTEMPTED TO CLARIFY HERSELF TO THE SCHEDULER, HOWEVER HE WOULD NOT ACCEPT ANY CLARIFICATION AND DECIDED TO MAKE HIS OWN INTERP OF THE SIT. THE SCHEDULER ALSO TRIED TO 'MAKE A DEAL' WITH THE FIRST FLT ATTENDANT IN ORDER TO COVER A FLT - PROPOSING THAT IF OUR CREW WOULD FLY ILLEGALLY, HE WOULD DROP THE WHOLE DRINKING ISSUE REGARDING ME. THE FIRST FLT ATTENDANT EXPLAINED THAT IF WE FLEW THE EARLIER TRIP THAT THE SCHEDULER NEEDED TO COVER, THAT WE WOULD BE VIOLATING FARS, SO SHE TOLD HIM WE COULD NOT MAKE ANY DEAL. SO, HE MAINTAINED HIS FALSE ACCUSATION AGAINST ME REGARDING DRINKING WITHIN THE 12 HR LIMIT.
