Narrative:

After 1 touch and go, the landing gear 'locked down light' would not come on, nor would the warning buzzer go off when I backed off the throttle. I requested to fly by the tower and they confirmed the gear was down. I asked the controller to contact my mechanic. I tried to raise and lower the gear but the motor would not operate. My mechanic thought it would be all right to land. Because it was 25 degrees F, he thought the switch wasn't making contact and the gear was really locked down. I made a soft landing and shut the engine down. When the aircraft slowed to about 30 mph, the right main gear slowly collapsed and the plane swerved to the right and came to a stop at the side of runway 27. The controller had the fire trucks at the scene within a min. We lifted the wing and manually locked the wheel down and pulled the aircraft off the runway. There was about 500 dollars damage to the wing and tail.

Title: THE R LNDG GEAR COLLAPSED ON LNDG ON AN SMA.

Narrative: AFTER 1 TOUCH AND GO, THE LNDG GEAR 'LOCKED DOWN LIGHT' WOULD NOT COME ON, NOR WOULD THE WARNING BUZZER GO OFF WHEN I BACKED OFF THE THROTTLE. I REQUESTED TO FLY BY THE TWR AND THEY CONFIRMED THE GEAR WAS DOWN. I ASKED THE CTLR TO CONTACT MY MECH. I TRIED TO RAISE AND LOWER THE GEAR BUT THE MOTOR WOULD NOT OPERATE. MY MECH THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ALL RIGHT TO LAND. BECAUSE IT WAS 25 DEGS F, HE THOUGHT THE SWITCH WASN'T MAKING CONTACT AND THE GEAR WAS REALLY LOCKED DOWN. I MADE A SOFT LNDG AND SHUT THE ENG DOWN. WHEN THE ACFT SLOWED TO ABOUT 30 MPH, THE R MAIN GEAR SLOWLY COLLAPSED AND THE PLANE SWERVED TO THE R AND CAME TO A STOP AT THE SIDE OF RWY 27. THE CTLR HAD THE FIRE TRUCKS AT THE SCENE WITHIN A MIN. WE LIFTED THE WING AND MANUALLY LOCKED THE WHEEL DOWN AND PULLED THE ACFT OFF THE RWY. THERE WAS ABOUT 500 DOLLARS DAMAGE TO THE WING AND TAIL.
