Narrative:
The captain and I flew an aircraft from mco-mia with the WX radar MEL'd. There were thunderstorms forecast for the mia area and the MEL specifically states that flight near thunderstorms prohibited. I did not check the WX forecast until we were halfway to mia, and found out about the thunderstorms too late. We continued to mia with no incident. I should have checked the WX prior to leaving mco.
