Narrative:

On climb out of phx, there were several thunderstorms in the area. ATC had us down at FL250 and advised that we would be at FL250 for a few mins. We requested WX deviations and were assigned direct ALS. The captain again requested WX deviations. The controller then said direct ALS, deviation as necessary. We were then given a frequency change (135.8) ZAB. ATC then asked if we could turn left. We could not due to thunderstorms. ATC asked again and we said we could give them 5 degrees to the left. ATC then asked if we had been given deviations as necessary or direct ALS. We advised that our last clearance was WX deviations as necessary direct ALS. We did see the aircraft ATC was trying to get us west of. We had the aircraft in sight and the TCASII was quiet, no RA. I believe the last ATC controller did not advise our current controller of our WX deviations and he thought we were direct ALS. The controllers were very difficult to work with, with all the aircraft deviating for thunderstorms.

Title: B757-200. THE ATC RADAR CTLR DID NOT COORD WITH THE NEXT RADAR CTLR TO INFORM HIM THE ACFT WAS CLRED TO DEVIATE BECAUSE OF TSTMS.

Narrative: ON CLBOUT OF PHX, THERE WERE SEVERAL TSTMS IN THE AREA. ATC HAD US DOWN AT FL250 AND ADVISED THAT WE WOULD BE AT FL250 FOR A FEW MINS. WE REQUESTED WX DEVS AND WERE ASSIGNED DIRECT ALS. THE CAPT AGAIN REQUESTED WX DEVS. THE CTLR THEN SAID DIRECT ALS, DEV AS NECESSARY. WE WERE THEN GIVEN A FREQ CHANGE (135.8) ZAB. ATC THEN ASKED IF WE COULD TURN L. WE COULD NOT DUE TO TSTMS. ATC ASKED AGAIN AND WE SAID WE COULD GIVE THEM 5 DEGS TO THE L. ATC THEN ASKED IF WE HAD BEEN GIVEN DEVS AS NECESSARY OR DIRECT ALS. WE ADVISED THAT OUR LAST CLRNC WAS WX DEVS AS NECESSARY DIRECT ALS. WE DID SEE THE ACFT ATC WAS TRYING TO GET US W OF. WE HAD THE ACFT IN SIGHT AND THE TCASII WAS QUIET, NO RA. I BELIEVE THE LAST ATC CTLR DID NOT ADVISE OUR CURRENT CTLR OF OUR WX DEVS AND HE THOUGHT WE WERE DIRECT ALS. THE CTLRS WERE VERY DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH, WITH ALL THE ACFT DEVIATING FOR TSTMS.
