Narrative:

We had just leveled at 9000 ft, about to intercept J-85, when we got an amber light on the TCASII showing traffic 8800 ft climbing at 2 O'clock, 5 NM. Shortly thereafter, we got an RA to climb and we picked up a light twin visually. I followed the TCASII to 1800 FPM minimum climb and advised mia departure. They had not picked up the traffic yet, but did tell us to climb to 10000 (we were already climbing). We leveled at 10000 ft and the traffic passed behind us and the RA discontinued.
