Narrative:

We had been cleared for and were established on final to runway 34L. An air carrier was asked if they had us in sight. They said yes. The other plane then was told to keep us in sight and cleared for a visual approach to runway 34R. They approached rapidly from the east and at a sharp angle to the final course. Their turn overshot 34R and placed them directly overhead and slightly behind us. All the time they were continuing the approach and descending. We had already started to turn to the west to get out from under the other aircraft when our TCASII gave us an RA. Sea-tac tower also directed us to turn off final to resolve the conflict. The air carrier moved back to the correct final course and both of us were reclred visual finals. The other pilot did not do what he was told to do (keep us in sight) and should have abandoned the approach when he lost sight of us.

Title: ACR SIGHTS ACFT CLRED FOR PARALLEL RWY DIRECTLY OVERHEAD. WHILE TURNING AWAY RECEIVE TCASII RA.

Narrative: WE HAD BEEN CLRED FOR AND WERE ESTABLISHED ON FINAL TO RWY 34L. AN ACR WAS ASKED IF THEY HAD US IN SIGHT. THEY SAID YES. THE OTHER PLANE THEN WAS TOLD TO KEEP US IN SIGHT AND CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 34R. THEY APCHED RAPIDLY FROM THE E AND AT A SHARP ANGLE TO THE FINAL COURSE. THEIR TURN OVERSHOT 34R AND PLACED THEM DIRECTLY OVERHEAD AND SLIGHTLY BEHIND US. ALL THE TIME THEY WERE CONTINUING THE APCH AND DSNDING. WE HAD ALREADY STARTED TO TURN TO THE W TO GET OUT FROM UNDER THE OTHER ACFT WHEN OUR TCASII GAVE US AN RA. SEA-TAC TWR ALSO DIRECTED US TO TURN OFF FINAL TO RESOLVE THE CONFLICT. THE ACR MOVED BACK TO THE CORRECT FINAL COURSE AND BOTH OF US WERE RECLRED VISUAL FINALS. THE OTHER PLT DID NOT DO WHAT HE WAS TOLD TO DO (KEEP US IN SIGHT) AND SHOULD HAVE ABANDONED THE APCH WHEN HE LOST SIGHT OF US.
