Narrative:

In summary: reporter was informed by another company pilot that he and the other pilot had overflown an emergency aircraft airworthiness directive issued for the propellers of the make and model of the company aircraft they both had flown the previous days. The oversight was not caught during aircraft record checks due to the different method used by maintenance for a reminder of when the next inspection was due. The reporter further states that he will use extreme caution in the future to review the aircraft records completely and not rely on other company personnel for the inspection and airworthiness status of the aircraft.
