Narrative:

We departed tpa to the south, later turning to the north. Neither the captain or first officer saw tampa 2 departure northerly transition speed restriction of 250 KTS. At 10000 ft the first officer asked if there were any speed restrictions, the captain said no. The first officer accelerated to 300 KTS in accordance with normal climb procedures. When queried by controller, first officer promptly slowed to 250 KTS. Controller mentioned they have a lot of problems on the tampa 2 departure with this speed restriction. Speed restriction could be included on clearance and/or the controller could advise airplanes of this speed restriction as a backup to reduce some of these deviations.
