Narrative:

For yrs the routing sat-dal has been the as published alamo 2 SID. A short time ago, the routing was changed to continue on the 359 degree radial to ednas direct acton VOR. We had flown the same route 6 times before in 2 weeks and were always given vectors to acton before reaching henly intersection. Today, ATC couldn't give us the vector and at henly I turned to intercept the departure as published. We flew for a few mi, were given direct acton (heading 340 degrees) when reaching FL240 for FL290. The supervisor then came on and told us we were supposed to be going to acton. It was at that time we realized we were flying on the wrong routing. Our company requires the pilots to look up the filed routing for every leg. I had written down the routing but failed to notice the change. Suggestion: our current company far 121 dispatch release does not contain the filed flight plan. Perhaps the release should include this so both pilots have easy accessible information. Supplemental information from acn 246862: we had flown the route earlier but had always been given direct acton prior to reaching henly intersection. Moral to story: captain needs to double-check routing, not just rely on first officer.

Narrative: FOR YRS THE ROUTING SAT-DAL HAS BEEN THE AS PUBLISHED ALAMO 2 SID. A SHORT TIME AGO, THE ROUTING WAS CHANGED TO CONTINUE ON THE 359 DEG RADIAL TO EDNAS DIRECT ACTON VOR. WE HAD FLOWN THE SAME RTE 6 TIMES BEFORE IN 2 WKS AND WERE ALWAYS GIVEN VECTORS TO ACTON BEFORE REACHING HENLY INTXN. TODAY, ATC COULDN'T GIVE US THE VECTOR AND AT HENLY I TURNED TO INTERCEPT THE DEP AS PUBLISHED. WE FLEW FOR A FEW MI, WERE GIVEN DIRECT ACTON (HDG 340 DEGS) WHEN REACHING FL240 FOR FL290. THE SUPVR THEN CAME ON AND TOLD US WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE GOING TO ACTON. IT WAS AT THAT TIME WE REALIZED WE WERE FLYING ON THE WRONG ROUTING. OUR COMPANY REQUIRES THE PLTS TO LOOK UP THE FILED ROUTING FOR EVERY LEG. I HAD WRITTEN DOWN THE ROUTING BUT FAILED TO NOTICE THE CHANGE. SUGGESTION: OUR CURRENT COMPANY FAR 121 DISPATCH RELEASE DOES NOT CONTAIN THE FILED FLT PLAN. PERHAPS THE RELEASE SHOULD INCLUDE THIS SO BOTH PLTS HAVE EASY ACCESSIBLE INFO. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 246862: WE HAD FLOWN THE RTE EARLIER BUT HAD ALWAYS BEEN GIVEN DIRECT ACTON PRIOR TO REACHING HENLY INTXN. MORAL TO STORY: CAPT NEEDS TO DOUBLE-CHK ROUTING, NOT JUST RELY ON FO.
