Narrative:

On approach into ord, we were being vectored to the ILS 4R approach and assigned 160 KTS to rekks intersection for spacing. We were TCASII equipped and saw a target ahead on the approach at 2 1/2 mi. Considering the spacing we slowed early to 150 KTS to prevent a possible go around. 1 mi from rekks (FAF), ord approach asked us our speed. We told them 150 KTS. Approach reprimanded us and began giving other traffic behind us vectors and slower speeds.
