Narrative:

Airplane stopped at gate. Parking brake was set. Continued with SOP's. Felt bump. Airplane had rolled forward causing left engine to hit the jetway. Parking brake was checked and found to be still set. A very important factor that contributed to this incident is the fact that the lights on the roof of the terminal were extremely bright facing us. Along with the rain on the windshield, it was very difficult to see out. After the airplane was stopped and the parking brake set, we were unable to detect any movement of the airplane because of these conditions.
