Narrative:

I requested radar service from fulton county airport, northwest of atlanta to falcon field, southwest of atlanta. After departing fulton county and establishing radar contact with atlanta (121.0) I was instructed to squawk a code and fly heading 180 degrees and maintain 2000 ft, remain clear of the TCA. This heading and altitude would take me approximately 15 NM west of the approach end of atl east arrs. This area is very heavily traveled by aircraft going around the atl TCA. Approximately 15 west of atlanta I encountered a light twin coming directly at me at the same altitude. We both made a right turn and missed each other by approximately 300-500 ft. Atl was very busy as one controller was working all the VFR traffic. I was not given any traffic information or advised of any traffic. This has happened to me on several occasions in the past. This area just under and around the TCA is very heavily traveled and deserves more consideration from ATC.

Narrative: I REQUESTED RADAR SVC FROM FULTON COUNTY ARPT, NW OF ATLANTA TO FALCON FIELD, SW OF ATLANTA. AFTER DEPARTING FULTON COUNTY AND ESTABLISHING RADAR CONTACT WITH ATLANTA (121.0) I WAS INSTRUCTED TO SQUAWK A CODE AND FLY HDG 180 DEGS AND MAINTAIN 2000 FT, REMAIN CLR OF THE TCA. THIS HDG AND ALT WOULD TAKE ME APPROX 15 NM W OF THE APCH END OF ATL E ARRS. THIS AREA IS VERY HEAVILY TRAVELED BY ACFT GOING AROUND THE ATL TCA. APPROX 15 W OF ATLANTA I ENCOUNTERED A LIGHT TWIN COMING DIRECTLY AT ME AT THE SAME ALT. WE BOTH MADE A R TURN AND MISSED EACH OTHER BY APPROX 300-500 FT. ATL WAS VERY BUSY AS ONE CTLR WAS WORKING ALL THE VFR TFC. I WAS NOT GIVEN ANY TFC INFO OR ADVISED OF ANY TFC. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IN THE PAST. THIS AREA JUST UNDER AND AROUND THE TCA IS VERY HEAVILY TRAVELED AND DESERVES MORE CONSIDERATION FROM ATC.
