Narrative:

After a recent flight the tower informed me that a helicopter pilot reported a 'near miss' in the area I had been flying. I did pass a helicopter in that area earlier in the day, but I was never close enough to be a danger to myself or the other aircraft. I had him in sight at all times. This occurred in an area that can be heavily traveled, as it is bounded to the south by restr area R-4101, and the north by cape cod bay. Pilots preferring to stay over land have a corridor less than 2 mi wide through which to pass to get on and off the cape. I have spoken of this in the past at safety meetings. Pilots should be especially vigilant here, especially during times of low ceilings. The helicopter apparently perceived a conflict, but those of us who fly in this area are cautious.
