Narrative:

On short final to landing runway 11 at mso, tower informed us 'caution men, and equipment along runway 11 last 3000 ft.' our NOTAMS read 'leave runway 11 landing open at all times.' after landing I had slowed the aircraft to taxi speed but had passed runway 7/25, which was the last turnoff due to the construction on the northeast side closing taxiway P. Rather than stop at the 6499 ft point and turn around next to the construction area, I continued taxiing past the construction area to avoid creating jet blast on the turnaround. Just prior to taxiway east, which also was closed, I asked the tower if they wanted us to continue to the end, and they told us we could turn around (180 degrees) where we were. We had moved to the right hand side of the runway during taxi and were well clear of all construction at all times. It was my understanding that (and according to our NOTAMS) runway 11 was to be kept open for our lndgs. Tower made no mention of a problem and we taxied to the gate without incident. My confusion arose in the discussion of the NOTAMS and what actually was intended. It seemed to runway runway 11 had to be open for lndgs full length since no landing data was available. The matter has been discussed with our dispatch and should not be a problem in the future.

Title: FLC OF LGT ACR ACFT WERE NOT SURE THE ASSIGNED LNDG RWY WAS ALL USABLE BASED ON THE DISPATCH NOTAM REGARDING CONSTRUCTION WORKERS ON EDGE OF THE RWY.

Narrative: ON SHORT FINAL TO LNDG RWY 11 AT MSO, TWR INFORMED US 'CAUTION MEN, AND EQUIP ALONG RWY 11 LAST 3000 FT.' OUR NOTAMS READ 'LEAVE RWY 11 LNDG OPEN AT ALL TIMES.' AFTER LNDG I HAD SLOWED THE ACFT TO TAXI SPD BUT HAD PASSED RWY 7/25, WHICH WAS THE LAST TURNOFF DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION ON THE NE SIDE CLOSING TXWY P. RATHER THAN STOP AT THE 6499 FT POINT AND TURN AROUND NEXT TO THE CONSTRUCTION AREA, I CONTINUED TAXIING PAST THE CONSTRUCTION AREA TO AVOID CREATING JET BLAST ON THE TURNAROUND. JUST PRIOR TO TXWY E, WHICH ALSO WAS CLOSED, I ASKED THE TWR IF THEY WANTED US TO CONTINUE TO THE END, AND THEY TOLD US WE COULD TURN AROUND (180 DEGS) WHERE WE WERE. WE HAD MOVED TO THE R HAND SIDE OF THE RWY DURING TAXI AND WERE WELL CLR OF ALL CONSTRUCTION AT ALL TIMES. IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT (AND ACCORDING TO OUR NOTAMS) RWY 11 WAS TO BE KEPT OPEN FOR OUR LNDGS. TWR MADE NO MENTION OF A PROB AND WE TAXIED TO THE GATE WITHOUT INCIDENT. MY CONFUSION AROSE IN THE DISCUSSION OF THE NOTAMS AND WHAT ACTUALLY WAS INTENDED. IT SEEMED TO RWY RWY 11 HAD TO BE OPEN FOR LNDGS FULL LENGTH SINCE NO LNDG DATA WAS AVAILABLE. THE MATTER HAS BEEN DISCUSSED WITH OUR DISPATCH AND SHOULD NOT BE A PROB IN THE FUTURE.
