Narrative:

I had received IFR clearance and began taxiing south on the taxiway for departure on runway 36. The clearance received was different from the filed route. While taxiing, my attention was diverted trying to locate an airway intersection, responding to a question from the ground controller, and completing the checklist. An FBO fuel truck was parked just inside the double yellow line, preparing to fuel an airplane. Even though my airplane was approximately on the taxiway centerline, the clearance was close. My attention was diverted for the above-mentioned reasons and before I realized how little clearance there was, the right wingtip struck the side view mirror of the fuel truck and grazed the fuel tank itself. No fuel spilled from the fuel truck or the airplane. The airplane was grounded until it could be inspected by a mechanic and for repair. In retrospect, I should have pad more attention to the taxiing of the airplane, and waited to complete the other tasks when the airplane was stopped.

Narrative: I HAD RECEIVED IFR CLRNC AND BEGAN TAXIING S ON THE TXWY FOR DEP ON RWY 36. THE CLRNC RECEIVED WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE FILED RTE. WHILE TAXIING, MY ATTN WAS DIVERTED TRYING TO LOCATE AN AIRWAY INTXN, RESPONDING TO A QUESTION FROM THE GND CTLR, AND COMPLETING THE CHKLIST. AN FBO FUEL TRUCK WAS PARKED JUST INSIDE THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE, PREPARING TO FUEL AN AIRPLANE. EVEN THOUGH MY AIRPLANE WAS APPROX ON THE TXWY CTRLINE, THE CLRNC WAS CLOSE. MY ATTN WAS DIVERTED FOR THE ABOVE-MENTIONED REASONS AND BEFORE I REALIZED HOW LITTLE CLRNC THERE WAS, THE R WINGTIP STRUCK THE SIDE VIEW MIRROR OF THE FUEL TRUCK AND GRAZED THE FUEL TANK ITSELF. NO FUEL SPILLED FROM THE FUEL TRUCK OR THE AIRPLANE. THE AIRPLANE WAS GNDED UNTIL IT COULD BE INSPECTED BY A MECH AND FOR REPAIR. IN RETROSPECT, I SHOULD HAVE PAD MORE ATTN TO THE TAXIING OF THE AIRPLANE, AND WAITED TO COMPLETE THE OTHER TASKS WHEN THE AIRPLANE WAS STOPPED.
