Narrative:

On oct/wed/92, about very early morning in an small transport, I struck something with the left propeller. I'm not sure what it was, but assume it was a taxi light because of the noise and the mark it made on the propeller. The RVR finally came up to 1800 RVR for ILS 34. After landing, the RVR went back down to 900 RVR. While trying to exit on taxiway C, the high speed, that's when I believe I struck the taxi light. Since I didn't see anything, just heard the noise, there is a possibility the light may have been burned out. I think this incident could have been avoided if there was reflective paint on the taxiway centerline -- or reflectors, lights, etc -- something to help find the centerline on the taxiway in low visibility.

Title: AN ATX SMT HIT A TAXIWAY LIGHT WITH ITS PROP.

Narrative: ON OCT/WED/92, ABOUT VERY EARLY MORNING IN AN SMT, I STRUCK SOMETHING WITH THE L PROP. I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT WAS, BUT ASSUME IT WAS A TAXI LIGHT BECAUSE OF THE NOISE AND THE MARK IT MADE ON THE PROP. THE RVR FINALLY CAME UP TO 1800 RVR FOR ILS 34. AFTER LNDG, THE RVR WENT BACK DOWN TO 900 RVR. WHILE TRYING TO EXIT ON TAXIWAY C, THE HIGH SPD, THAT'S WHEN I BELIEVE I STRUCK THE TAXI LIGHT. SINCE I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING, JUST HEARD THE NOISE, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THE LIGHT MAY HAVE BEEN BURNED OUT. I THINK THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THERE WAS REFLECTIVE PAINT ON THE TAXIWAY CTRLINE -- OR REFLECTORS, LIGHTS, ETC -- SOMETHING TO HELP FIND THE CTRLINE ON THE TAXIWAY IN LOW VISIBILITY.
