Narrative:
As I was leveling off at 2000 ft MSL over sunol flying eward, I was talking to bay approach requesting flight following, when suddenly an small aircraft was heading straight for me from my 11:30 O'clock position. The small aircraft turned right and I turned right. Bay approach was too busy, so we continued without flight following. I need to improve my outside visual scan.
