Narrative:
After a series of continuous duty overnights, I misunderstood a heading given by ATC. I was not fatigued, but was tired due to the breakup of normal sleep pattern. During my scan, I caught the discrepancy because my first officer had a different heading bugged. ATC questioned us while I was turning to the correct heading. It did not produce a conflict either for the controller, nor on TCASII.
