Narrative:

After pushback at mexico city, ground control cleared us to taxi to runway 5R and contact tower at the end. While crossing the approach end of runway 5L we observed an aircraft approximately 1 mi on final for what appeared to be runway 5L. We expedited across the runway end. Approaching aircraft executed a go around. Note: first officer twice had ground control verify our taxi instructions. A lesson well learned -- check, check, and triple check -- especially where heavily accented english is used and ATC procedures are lax at best. Supplemental information from acn 210104: taxi instructions from mex ground were to runway 5R taxiway B, contact tower 118.1 at the end. Ground was asked to verify instructions again (same instructions were given).
