Narrative:

We were a flight of 2 landing at bourland to purchase gas. Called on unicom for TA's but got no answer. We had been told prior to the flight by a friend that this airport used right hand traffic on this runway. The airport had a segmented circle, but no pattern direction markers. We flew over the airport at pattern altitude (800 ft AGL) and turned onto a right downwind, taking spacing. We made appropriate radio calls overhead, downwind base, and final. As we were on base I heard an aircraft call downwind but could not see him. After landing we had to taxi back on the runway to clear the runway. The aircraft that called on downwind was a solo student pilot. After shutting down, a man approached and was irate that we flew right traffic. He was not flying, but observed from the ground. Our error in flying right traffic did not cause any problems as far as I am aware. The other aircraft in the pattern may have had to do a go around because we were taxiing on the runway, but that was because we made a full stop, not because we flew a right pattern.

THE OTHER ACFT IN THE PATTERN MAY HAVE HAD TO DO A GAR BECAUSE WE WERE TAXIING ON THE RWY, BUT THAT WAS BECAUSE WE MADE A FULL STOP, NOT BECAUSE WE FLEW A R PATTERN.
