Narrative:

I was cleared to land on runway 27 at mem, on final an large transport was cleared across runway 27 prior to our landing. He reported clear of runway 27. On our landing roll when our landing and turnoff light showed the large transport to be stopped on taxiway papa holding short of taxiway victor for an aircraft to taxi past him. I had to steer left to ensure clearance of his tail with my wing tip. The area between runway 27 and taxiway victor known as papa is not long enough for an large transport to clear runway 27. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: callback to airport reveals that the reporter is correct. There is not enough room for a large transport to hold short of taxiway V and still remain clear of the runway. It appears that they were not aware of this until the pilot advised them of the incident. The tower does not allow certain air carrier aircraft in this area now.
