Narrative:
Turned left onto V-186 from V-363, VOR indicated I was on centerline, but controller indicated I was way left, and gave me a 50 degree turn to right. To intercept V-186, then called centerline of airway, all the time VOR indicator never showed a deviation from the centerline of the airway, nor did I have a flag to indicate I had a navigation problem.
