Narrative:

We received our pre departure clearance and the captain and I reviewed it. After takeoff we were climbing through 7000 ft and the controller asked us when we were going to turn. We responded that we were flying runway heading and that we had not been given turn instructions. The controller gave us a turn clearance and asked if we had received the mountain climb. We responded 'negative.' we then reviewed our pre departure clearance and noticed that we had been given the mountain climb. We told the controller that we found the mistake and nothing more was said. We did not carefully read the pre departure clearance and therefore we missed the mountain climb instructions.
