Narrative:

Returning from stx to sju I am being vectored into the arsa for sequence. I am told to fly 070 heading and cleared for ILS runway 10 approach to san juan, luis munoz marin airport and maintain 1500 ft until established on localizer. I read back approach clearance and then handed off to tower. Tower advises that I am cleared to land on runway 8. I answer the tower controller telling her that I understand she wants me to sidestep to runway 8. She then tells me to fly directly to runway 8. She then asked me what was my approach clearance. I inform her that I was cleared for an ILS runway 10 approach and she acknowledges by clearing me to land on runway 10. Later on that afternoon, my supervisor notifies me that san juan cerap called advising him that I didn't follow my approach clearance correctly. It is clear to me that sju approach and sju tower were not communicating clearly this afternoon.
