Narrative:

Cleared by ft worth center to descend at pilot's discretion to 10000 ft en route to okc. Spotted light aircraft at 10500 ft on VFR flight plan when we were passing 10600 ft. Small aircraft was only a few hundred yards in front of us and passed beneath our right wing before I could respond in any way. Copilot flying never saw the conflict. Concurrent with spotting the small airplane, ZFW called unknown traffic at our 12 O'clock at 1/2 mi and switched us to okc approach. I said nothing to the controller about the near miss, but did get a phone number. Via the phone call to center from okc I learned of the small plane not being under IFR control.
