Narrative:

I was working departure east during a departure 'rush'. We had an air show at smyrna airport during my shift. Smyrna airport is approximately 8 mi from nashville and we gave them a 5 mi radius of blocked airspace up to 12500 ft. I vectored aircraft X through the protected airspace when I was intending to get him away from a WX area southeast of bna, and I was vectoring him toward a departure gate. By the time I realized my error the aircraft was already violating the restr area. It was my deviation and is being treated as such by the facility. I would suggest in the future that it is not a safe situation to have a 5 mi restr area so close to our downwind and departure paths.
