Narrative:

ATC issued traffic advisory for an aircraft at 2 O'clock position, 10 mi west at 13000 ft. We were climbing through approximately 11500 ft at this time, cleared to 16000. We were cleared direct to pappi intersection and were programming the omega for this clearance, heading directly to pullman, our previous clearance. We were looking for the traffic visually as well as on the TCAS. Upon climbing through 13200, ATC issued clearance to maintain 12000. We informed them that we had already passed 13200 on our way up to 16000. ATC then issued a left turn to 180 degree. At that time a target appeared on TCAS, and an aural 'traffic, traffic' was heard. No resolution advisory was received. As we started our turn, we noticed traffic at approximately 3 O'clock position, 5 mi away slightly low. We proceeded to ord without further incident.
