Narrative:

Inbound to pqi with line ckp, who had not been to pqi very often. I informed him that I have never been in pqi and therefore I am not familiar with the area. WX was VFR clear and visibility more than 20 mi. As we approached pqi VOR I told ckp that I see 2 different airport beacons, and asked him to verify the right one. We could not find runways until ckp clicked microphone on unicom frequency 122.8. Lights came on and runway confign looked like the one we were looking for. We landed normally on runway 19 and ckp realized on the ground that we are at caribou, me, not in pqi. Later on we continued to pqi without further incident. Crew fatigue was not a factor, but the fact that I was unfamiliar to the area and caribou runway lights came on with pqi unicom frequency, made me convinced that we had right airport. Ckp also told me that he knows where we are. Another contributing factor was a desire to arrival on time.

WE LANDED NORMALLY ON RWY 19 AND CKP REALIZED ON THE GND THAT WE ARE AT CARIBOU, ME, NOT IN PQI. LATER ON WE CONTINUED TO PQI WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. CREW FATIGUE WAS NOT A FACTOR, BUT THE FACT THAT I WAS UNFAMILIAR TO THE AREA AND CARIBOU RWY LIGHTS CAME ON WITH PQI UNICOM FREQ, MADE ME CONVINCED THAT WE HAD RIGHT ARPT. CKP ALSO TOLD ME THAT HE KNOWS WHERE WE ARE. ANOTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS A DESIRE TO ARR ON TIME.
