Narrative:

After landing at den our gate was occupied. Ground control sent us to the gate hold box. We were doing a single engine taxi. Ground control sent us to the gate, then changed to taxi to the company hangar. I taxied to the front of the hangar pointed tail to the open hangar. After coordination with ground control and ramp control and hangar maintenance, ATC cleared us to taxi. A mechanic came by the nose and I indicated to him we were cleared to taxi. After power was applied (less than 70 percent N2) with no movement, I started a second engine. After arrival a mechanic told me we did blow some ground equipment with some possible damage. I was aware of the jet blast problems and our company manual limits and stayed within limits. After looking back on the problem it would be better to have been towed to an area away from the hangar.
