Narrative:

On taxi out were we sequenced behind commuter light transport who was following an medium large transport 'cross 14, then taxi via V/west/left to hold short of 14.' came instructions from ground control to the 2 aircraft we were following. Then captain heard 'a blocked' call sign then the same instructions given to commuter and the medium large transport, 'cross 14, via V/west/left to hold short of 14.' as we were the next to cross 14 the captain said that it was for us it was only logical for it to be. I repeated the instructions verbatim on ground frequency. After crossing ground control said we were told to hold short and we crossed anyway. Ground control was totally saturated at the time and directing aircraft to takeoff on 3 different runways when there were no inbound aircraft observed for landing. 10R and center should have been the departure runways and 10L should have been the arrival runway with minimal inbound traffic.

Title: ACR MLG UNAUTH RWY XING WHILE TAXIING OUT AT PIT.

Narrative: ON TAXI OUT WERE WE SEQUENCED BEHIND COMMUTER LTT WHO WAS FOLLOWING AN MLG 'CROSS 14, THEN TAXI VIA V/W/L TO HOLD SHORT OF 14.' CAME INSTRUCTIONS FROM GND CTL TO THE 2 ACFT WE WERE FOLLOWING. THEN CAPT HEARD 'A BLOCKED' CALL SIGN THEN THE SAME INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN TO COMMUTER AND THE MLG, 'CROSS 14, VIA V/W/L TO HOLD SHORT OF 14.' AS WE WERE THE NEXT TO CROSS 14 THE CAPT SAID THAT IT WAS FOR US IT WAS ONLY LOGICAL FOR IT TO BE. I REPEATED THE INSTRUCTIONS VERBATIM ON GND FREQ. AFTER XING GND CTL SAID WE WERE TOLD TO HOLD SHORT AND WE CROSSED ANYWAY. GND CTL WAS TOTALLY SATURATED AT THE TIME AND DIRECTING ACFT TO TKOF ON 3 DIFFERENT RWYS WHEN THERE WERE NO INBOUND ACFT OBSERVED FOR LNDG. 10R AND CENTER SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE DEP RWYS AND 10L SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ARR RWY WITH MINIMAL INBOUND TFC.
